Buffy

My name is Buffy and I’ve been at the Vola Lawson Animal Shelter since January. During that time, I’ve lost over twenty pounds, and I owe it all to healthy eating and lots of exercise. I’m happier now than I’ve ever been, but I’m still looking for that special someone to take me home. I’m a five-year-old German Shepherd/Chow Chow mix and I love to be around people. The AWLA staff has been so kind to me, and you can usually find me hanging out behind the front desk at the shelter welcoming visitors. I really like to play with my toys and act silly sometimes, but I’ve also been getting quite the education during my stay at the shelter. I’ve learned several new tricks and would be happy to show you my repertoire. I prefer to be an only pet, but if you open your heart and home to me I’ll be a source of love and affection for years to come.

Hi, I’m Alexis and I want to be yours forever. I’m quite the charmer and enjoy the finer things in life, like delicious treats, soft beds, sunny windows, and good toys. I’m a very affectionate girl and I love being petted and brushed. Sometimes a girl needs help maintaining her beauty and I’d love it if you could help me keep my coat soft and clean. I’m a five-year-old Domestic Shorthair and I prefer the company of adults. Small children can sometimes be too much for me, but if you’re calm and patient and are looking for beautiful kitty to share your home with, I’m your girl!
